My Juice Cleanse Experience

After the holidays, and eating endless amounts of cheese & cookies (lol) — I’ve been on a new health kick! It feels great getting back into the gym and starting the new year off right. I decided to try out a juice cleanse with Clean Juice and I wanted to share my experience with you. I have been wanting to do a cleanse for a while now, but I was always intimidated by them. So, I started out with just a two day cleanse.

Overall, the juices from Clean Juice are all organic and don’t have preservatives. They’re extremely fresh (which I obviously love) — I also liked that the cleanse had a mixture of flavors. It was a nice mix of sweet and “healthy” tasting… if you know what I mean. Each day I could have 6 juices and they were numbered 1-6 so it was easy to follow along. Every time I was feeling hungry the juices would hold me over. I’m not saying I was completely “full” during it, but it wasn’t terrible. (All juices I had are listed below.)

  • Sweet Green: Kale, Spinach, Cucumber, Apple, Mint
  • Orange: Orange, Carrot, Pineapple, Turmeric
  • Green: Spinach, Celery, Kale, Cucumber, Ginger, Lemon
  • Yellow: Filtered Water, Lemon, Cayenne, Maple Syrup
  • Red: Beet, Apple, Carrot, Lemon
  • White: Cashews, Filtered Water, Cinnamon, Vanilla, Maple Syrup, Himalayan Pink Sea Salt

Favorite Juice: Yellow – Filtered Water, Lemon, Cayenne, Maple Syrup

Least Favorite Juice: Orange – Orange, Carrot, Pineapple, Turmeric

WHY? — I was surprised to find that the “yellow” flavor was my favorite. It had a similar taste to lemonade and I found it to be very refreshing and energizing. On the other hand, I disliked the “orange” flavor. I wasn’t a fan of the carrot and pineapple mix. It just tasted weird to me BUT It’s healthy so I drank it anyway of course.

How I felt day 1:  My body was adjusting to a liquid diet. I was a little hungry at night, but I really liked that the Cashew drink I had for dinner had a thicker consistency. I sipped on it throughout the evening and it kept my body satisfied.

How I felt day 2: I felt “lighter” and less bloated on day 2. I was a bit more hungry throughout mid day. Throughout the day my body felt more energized from all of the different fruits and veggies. I felt renewed.

After the cleanse: I was ready to be done with the cleanse after two days for sure. I don’t think I would do a three day cleanse, however, the two day was manageable. I would recommend trying out the two day cleanse if you are looking for a little detox! The effects weren’t drastic but I felt healthier and craved less unhealthy foods after I was done.
